Thokozile A. Chitepo (Dr) was appointed to the ZWRCN Board in July 2010. She is Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sport, Arts and Culture, Zimbabwe. Previously she worked as Principal Director in the Ministry of Youth Development, Indigenisation and Empowerment, Zimbabwe, and Dean in Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Africa University, Zimbabwe, amongst others. She has over 25 years experience of executive level leadership, direction and management, including conceptualizing, planning and implementing multidisciplinary and multi-country programmes either directly through government Ministries or through intermediary organizations, and planning and executing programme support systems of research, evaluation, communications and information and knowledge management, and policy analyses. She has a special interest in issues of youth development, especially girls and young women, promoting their health, creativity and social integration, civic engagement and economic productivity through practical and academic applications. Thokozile is a founding trustee of the Africa Youth Innovation Centre (called the ‘Innovation Centre’) which is a centre of excellence on youth development.
