ZWRCN Executive Director: Dorothy Hupenyu Hove

As we wrap up the year 2020, I would like to send my thoughts and prayers to everyone who has been affected by this terrible virus and express my gratitude to you, frontline workers, caring for our most vulnerable in impossible circumstances.

During the year we have had to adopt and adapt to new ways of working, replacing in person programmes in some instance and introducing activities that support social distancing and, in some cases, complete lockdown was easier said than done. Creative and innovative ways had to be used such as working from home and working virtually.

The holidays might seem a bit gloomy but as ZWRCN we would like to wish you moments of peace amid difficulties, connections with family and friends even if they can’t be in person, and the warmest memories from the holiday.

Take heart as slowly but surely the pandemic will fade and let’s embrace 2021 warmly.

I would like to thank all our funding partners, friends of ZWRCN, our Local Authorities, Members of Parliament, ZWRCN staff and ZWRCN Board. I wish you a very safe and Merry Christmas and may the New Year bring good health, happiness and good fortune.

Have a blessed festive season to all!
