Harare Central Hospital sued over $63k drugs

HARARE Central Hospital has been dragged to court over a $63 000 debt owed to local drug supplier, Laryscope Health Care (Private) Limited. The drug supplying firm, through its lawyers Martin Chasakara Law Firm, issued summons against the hospital under case number HC2144/16 on March 2 this year. “The plaintiff’s (Laryscope Health Care) claim is for judgment in the following terms, payment in the sum of $63 813 being an amount due and payable to the plaintiff by defendant (Harare Central Hospital) for medical supplies tender between the period May 2011 and September 2014, together with interest thereon and costs on an attorney and client scale,” the drug firm said.
